1st UNECE Road Safety Week

In 1990 the ECE Inland Transport Committee decided to designate the week from 1 to 7 October 1990 as "Road Safety Week" during which simultaneous road safety campaigns were waged in all ECE member States. Main goal of the campaign was to promote a greater awareness by road users and the public at large of the worldwide scale of the problem of road safety.
