United Nations Headquarters. Denmark contributed toward the furnishing of the

A general view of the Security Council Chamber in the
United Nations Headquarters, New York. The Chamber was designed by Arnstein
Arneberg of Norway and the large mural was painted by
the Norwegian artist Per Krohg. The Norwegian
Government contributed toward the cost of the decoration of the Chamber.

Eisenhower, is seen addressing the meeting (December 8, 1953). Presiding is
Mme. V. Pandit, President of the General Assembly.
The Secretary-General, Mr. Dag Hammarskjold,
is seated on her right, and Mr. Andrew Cordier, his
Executive Assistant, is on her left.
